This is one of the first videos I made with a new method of video production that I was just starting to play with few years back quite a few years back, and it’s still completely valid today I was called bread from gasoline because I make 32 pounds of bread which is 16 two pound loaves and for breadmakers, I take only 58 minutes, not three hours 58 minutes. To make a two pound loaf of bread I show you my recipe, which involves no butter, no, no oil, no milk, although you can add a little oil and the bread will stay goods there on the counter for a week or two at least as long as you put in a Ziploc bag goes even longer. I show you how to make that so you got two pounds of delicious smelling bread in 58 minutes from just flour water salt, sugar, yeast. You can do this with sourdough and on sourdough. fresh yeast. Yeast dry yeast doesn’t matter. I even show you how to do it with no yeast. I even make like the biggest biscuit you’ve ever seen. And the breadmaker. I want to make cake. Oh yeah. Pillsbury phenolic yellow yellowcake I make that the breadmaker. So anyways, imagine you’re in a disaster post hurricane post apocalypse post whatever. And there’s your neighbor and you want something from that neighbor and you got they’re hungry, you got a fresh loaf, still warm, have two pounds of bread in your hand.
Basically you’re holding the new $100 Bill right there you’re gonna get anything you want from it with that. Also I show you how to take the bread maker and just how to make it use it to mix the dough and 15 minutes and then you throw in a great big
kick sheet pan or baking pan. You just let it rise after it’s after it’s done all the work for you. It used letter rise and then you bake them all at once in your oven so the bread maker makes making bread in your oven even easier and they come out to be taken like take a basketball and slice it in half. That’s the size of the loaves of bread you’re going to be making in the oven. When you have the breadmaker mix it it’s right in the slideshow in front of you. You can see it right now.
So I show you how to do that that requires the mixing requires almost zero power. I show you exactly the amount of electricity it takes on how to bake bread and a breadmaker. Turns out it’s like 320 Watt hours and the largest draws like 600 watts. That’s only when it’s baking. So I show you how to make bread off of a generator so you’re trading gasoline as not much for fresh bread and the thing is, this makes food preparation as easy as a washing machine. You go to your washing machine you throw your clothes and you put the soap and he closed the top spin the dial, it’s done in an hour you go back you open it you take them out you put them on the line to dry put them in the dryer, that’s how easy the breadmaking is It is literally as easy as using the washing machine. You put in all the ingredients which I show you how to premix except for the yeas how to put them all together how to have pre measured measuring cup for the water and it goes close to top push the button go 58 minutes later you got two pounds of bread. It’s automatic, you didn’t have to do nothing you could go off and do other things while it was making your bread. You can the bread makers my favorite bread maker which is the poster cool touch is still in its like third or fourth generation they keep on upgrading and selling it’s still on Amazon so you can still buy it and I kill them at rummage sales and Facebook marketplace and I give them away as door prizes at preparedness seminars I go to and where I teach and I just it just so much fun. You will not believe the amount of things you can do with a breadmaker and 58 minutes including making cake and like biscuit I put biscuit mix I make my own biscuit mix and I use biscuit mix about bake biscuits with both of them and that’s like yeah, here’s a great big best get looking at a cut into it. You can see it and it’s like wow sounds Brown as you’d be used to bite into it. Put some butter on it. It’s like oh, it tastes so delicious. It’s wonderful.
So I really really run you through the ringer with the bread me all I make bread on a breadmaker with my truck underneath the hood of my truck my truck at idle. I make it off of a deep cycle marine battery and make it off of a generator and make it off the wall. I make off of everything. I mean you got a hurricane come in. It’s like have a turn on the breadmaker and it’s like start making bread. I even use bread maker mixes that you buy from the store. And those generally make pound and a half breads instead of two pound breads and this is a two pound
breadmaker. Really there is a difference. But even if he didn’t want to go to the store, like all the breads gone, all the milks gone, everything’s gone. But guess what’s there, all the bread maker mixes all the flour, all the sugar, all the yeast, all the baking powder, all of the cooking oil, all that stuff is still there, you can make all the bread you want, you can make two pounds every 58 minutes. In fact, I show you there’s a picture of like, I have 16 loaves of bread, two pound loaves all stocked up. I made them in like three hours and 58 minutes. Yeah, I had four breadmakers going simultaneously, I’ll give you a hit the baking cycles, like 30 minutes long. So what I did was I started to have them had a mix. And then just before they started their baking cycle with like t plus 28 minutes, I started the other two bread makers mixing such that while one was baking, one was mixing and rising. So I was only pulling 1200 watts at a time, because that’s the baking cycle 600 plus 600 while the other two were mixing with takes like 15 watts. So they were mixing and rising while the other two were baking. And so I didn’t have 2400 Watts a load on the generator, only a 1200 Watts load, but I staggered them. And so I had four bread machines going simultaneously for basically the power of two bread machines off of the generator by Ty besides by time you got the stuff going and one and everything else. And you pulled the bread all the ones that were just finished, he let them cool down. It was time for another batch to be started another batch to be pulled out. It worked really good. I mean for breadmakers and one person.
That’s about the extent of what you can handle between pulling the bread out. And all clean up is easy. You take a paper towel, you just wipe it all out Teflon. No Teflon is not dangerous. Stop the witch hunt and chemistry. It’s one of the most inert substances that there ever was made by mankind. You can believe me, you can eat all the Teflon you want. It’s just gonna go into the toilet with your poop the next day.
So don’t believe that be us. Anyway, so you just wipe off the inside of the breadmaker with a paper towel. And away you go. But this is like this is one of my first videos I did the resolution slightly lower yet it’s higher than regular standard definition, almost HD quality. And
it was my experiment proof of concept. But I did a really good job in it. And you’re getting the 94 minute version, the extended version with the extra pictures and details and why I did and how I did things. It’s all in there for you. I mean, it is an absolute bargain. You’re just going to go Wow. Look, I believe preparedness should be a spectator sport like football. You’re sitting in the bleachers watching the guys on the field get hit and run into each other. You go Oh, I bet that hurt. You want to be a spectator in the disaster because you’re prepared. You do not want to be a participant in it. If you’re a participant, then that means you’re either going to live be a survivor or you’re going to die. And just because you crawl back over the fast flowing river naked and cold onto the money bank, you know does your show yeah, you’re survived but you’re still cold wet naked on the riverbank and now you got to still make it to safety so escaped one survival situation to go into another. It is better to be a spectator in a disaster and not a participant. And that is what Steven Harris teaches you to remember. The only easy day was after you met Harris
